Nottingham Fire Department Live In Program
The Nottingham Fire Department established it's live in program in the early 1980's. It was the first program of it's kind in Bucks County. We are proud to boast that many of our firefighters that have participated in the live in program throughout the years have gone on to become career firefighters, law enforcement officers and other careers in emergency services. The program is designed for firefighters to utilize the station as their full-time residence, allowing for a quick and professional fire department response. In exchange for free living accommodations and several other perks, the live-in members are responsible for responding to emergency calls, performing station duties, and participating in duty crews & training. The program is both demanding and time consuming, but it is our hope that it creates the discipline and respect that is expected in a career fire department. As a Live-In Member, you will need to follow the live in rules set forth , maintain active status and fulfill duty crew and training requirements.
